I phoned Ading Cxyrelle early this morning to greet her happy birthday. She sounded excited although she didn't have a party today. She was singing happy birthday to herself, but you know how she's like. She always changes the lyrics and turns it into a joke. And then she was complaining because I apparently didn't give her a gift, haha. Little did she know.
Inang woke up early to cook pancit for Ading. It has been a tradition to cook anyone pancit for their birthdays for long life. I don't think they invited anyone today because it's not Ading's party yet. So she just went to Mama Es's house to give them some of the pancit. And then they had to go to school all day. Mama told me that they brought pancit for the teachers and then they ate ice cream afterwards. And that's how Ading celebrated her birthday today.
I'm sure she missed you because she's so used to having two Kuyas greeting her happy birthday in the last six years. And on her special birthday (because she's now 7), it's just her Kuya Linus. But I know Ading Linus is trying to fill the void in Ading's life by being more considerate and patient with her. I'm sure it's hard for your Adings to not have you around, especially Linus. Because before he had a Kuya that he could always rely on, and now it is him that is being relied on to. He is probably still trying to get used to being the big brother to your little sister. I'm sure you're still there guiding them in spirit, but not having you around physically is really difficult. I wish I knew something better to make things easier.
I miss you so much especially now that I am feeling a bit down. I'm sure you're here to make me feel better. I love you anak ko.
