Easter Sunday

Happy Easter anak. This is our family's first Easter without you, and last year was the last Easter I spent with you. I was trying to remember what we did on Easter Sunday last year, but it seems like we stayed at home. I was browsing through the photos that I took at that time and this is what I found :

Anyway, today was Ading Linus's day as he sung the Hallelujah at the church early this morning. He made us all proud. I bet you were watching him from above and you too were so proud of him. Oh how I wish you were still here, so you could have played the violin while he sung. It would have been great. Ading Kika on the other hand, was an angel and she sung with the choir.

Mama told me that Ading Linus got scared when the chair he was sitting on was pulled up higher than when he had his rehearsals. Apparently, he started trembling and got a little bit confused to begin with. He couldn't sing and didn't know what to do. But he pulled through in the end and it turned out fine. I have watched the video that Tito JL took and Ading was brilliant. Here are some of the photos from Tito JL:

And then it opened up so Ading could remove the black veil from Mama Mary's head. He was singing something like " Rejoice, your Son has risen", but in Ilocano. You have heard the song before, right?

That's the whole gang before Ading's performance. They surely miss you, Kuya. I just noticed the space between Ate Bianca and Danica. You probably know what I am thinking. :)

Then after the whole thing at the church, they had an egg hunting at home- courtesy of Ethan and his family. Some of your friends were there and Ethan bought some of his friends too. They apparently had so much fun. Ading Kika found almost P300 worth of Easter eggs, while Ading Linus only found a few. But the real winner was Ading Bibo because he got the golden egg worth P1,000. It was so nice of Ethan's family to hold the egg hunting at home. I am very thankful to them and to your friends and their parents. Even if you're no longer with us, they still think of you and include you in their activities. I hope it stays like this for a long time, if not forever. It will surely break my heart to find out that they have forgotten all about you. But then again, it doesn't really matter because I know in my heart that our family will never forget you. And that's all that matters at the end of the day.

And you know what? I was being silly today and told your Daddy that you should also resurrect just like Jesus. How I wish it is that easy. 

By the way, I went to St. Paul's Cathedral this afternoon and lit a candle for you, Tasha and other angels that I got to know recently. I also lit one for Ate Hazel so she will get better soon. Please continue to pray for her anak. And of course don't forget to pray for your Adings and the rest of our family. Continue  to watch over us.

I can't express enough how much I am missing you right now. In fact, on our way home, I cried because I thought about you and felt bad because I was not able to take you to London. I didn't realize you were going to leave us that soon. I am so sorry anak.

I love you so much and you know that. Everyday is not the same without you. You are greatly missed.
